Time-dependent wave splitting and source separation
Starting from classical absorbing boundary conditions, we propose a method for the separation of time-dependent scattered wave fields due to multiple sources or obstacles. In contrast to previous techniques, our method is local in space and time, deterministic, and also avoids a priori assumptions on the frequency spectrum of the signal. Numerical examples in two space dimensions illustrate the...
متن کاملWave function for time-dependent harmonically confined electrons in a time-dependent electric field.
The many-body wave function of a system of interacting particles confined by a time-dependent harmonic potential and perturbed by a time-dependent spatially homogeneous electric field is derived via the Feynman path-integral method. The wave function is comprised of a phase factor times the solution to the unperturbed time-dependent Schrödinger equation with the latter being translated by a tim...
متن کاملDimension Splitting for Time Dependent Operators
In this paper we are concerned with the convergence analysis of splitting methods for nonautonomous abstract evolution equations. We introduce a framework that allows us to analyze the popular Lie, Peaceman– Rachford and Strang splittings for time dependent operators. Our framework is in particular suited for analyzing dimension splittings. The influence of boundary conditions is discussed.
متن کاملField Dependent Charge Carrier Transport for Organic Semiconductors at the Time of Flight Configuration
In this paper, we used the time-of-flight (TOF) of a charge packet, that injected by a voltage pulse to calculate the drift velocity and mobility of holes in organic semiconducting polymers. The technique consists in applying a voltage to the anode and calculating the time delay in the appearance of the injected carriers at the other contact. The method is a simple way to determine the charge t...
متن کاملTime Splitting for Wave Equations in Random Media
Numerical simulation of high frequency waves in highly heterogeneous media is a challenging problem. Resolving the fine structure of the wave field typically requires extremely small time steps and spatial meshes. We show that capturing macroscopic quantities of the wave field, such as the wave energy density, is achievable with much coarser discretizations. We obtain such a result using a time...
